In June 2016, a majority of Britons
voted to leave the EU, thus triggering a major political crisis and dividing a
nation. The set of documents is composed of
an opinion piece written by John Harris in The Guardian, a leading
article taken from The Economist, a piece which came out in The Conversation,

Every year, consumerism reaches a peak on November
29th, also known as BF, when millions of shoppers around the world
hunt for the best bargains. Indeed, what was originally an Amercian tradition
has now become a global trend. Two articles taken from The Telegraph and
The Wall Street Journal, both dated November 29th, an
opinion piece written by George Monbiot,
published in The Guardian in 2017 along with a poster (an advert)
posted on narcity.com in 2018 deal with the environmental and generational
impact of the phenomenon. They raise the
following question: why has BF become so divisive? (= controversial)
